As the title implies, i changed my artstyle and i tried to simplify it a lot while also keeping it somewhat stylized. I dont really have the same energy for drawing, as i had back in Summer. I also want to continue making some form of comic even if it is very simplistic, bc this is what gives me major motivation to make oc art. Plus i think this style is fun. I will try to keep the site updated although i dont have stable internet rn and its somewhat difficult but i will manage. I also havent forgotten my photography site and i will get back to it. All in all, having bad internet and a full time job helped me get over my misery with social media and i feel better about my art and my comics as well.

So i started a full time job and moved out to a new town so i didnt have much time to dedicate to drawing. Now that things are settled i started working on this wip again. This is probably gonna take me a while to finish because of the details i envision it to have. I gotta say Lazaros is such fave right now. I love his design.

I wanted to practice my coloring skills a bit and started to follow a reference strictly. This comes from a real photo of my own town and i plan to make more in the future. It is supposed to be a post-sunset moment but i realise it might look more like cloudy weather. It works for me either way.

When i took that original photo it was a quiet afternoon with cicada and sheep bells sounds from nearby sheep herds. Just to set the tone for the drawing. I also started this back in august so it also has that late summer feel which is very nostalgic.

Introducing my new oc: Lazaros, who is a pagan village teenager and warrior. My Earth priestess oc Kassandra is his mother and his unnamed father has some folklore around him as a great bear pagan warrior (yea his mother is a lynx and his father is a bear, but dont think too much into it lol). Right now i think Lazaros will accompany my other oc Yiannis as a bodyguard. Yiannis, in this timeline, is the warrior of a bishop (in a sense he is like a knight who believes in a different Christian-adjacent religion and is a local lord) and needs to travel around. The story i have for them is that Lazaros needs to find a job because being 16 equates to being an adult in this universe (perhaps he needs to prove himself as a warrior) and his mother asks that knight/lord to employ him. Yiannis mostly does take him in because he wants to sleep with his mother lmao

I did some changes to my previous ocs with this. I honestly dont know if i will ever continue my previous comic/universe to be honest and i just play with random ideas for now for fun. For the clothes i took some inspiration from the "Purpuris" costume for Lazaros. It is part of a northern greek christmas custom, where people dress with sheep/goat skin and wear this "mask" that is made of pumpkin (the custom has paganistic roots i believe and relates to celebrations of winter). Now for Kassandra, her headpiece is inspired by a headress worn by greek women from Kappadocia. Yiannis outfit, lastly, is not particularly interesting, he is wearing some form of vestments and probably some golden colored armor inside.

Decided to treat my website as a personal art blog rather than a gallery tbh. These past few weeks have been stressful and things arent really over yet, so i feel relatively burnt out with art. However, I decided i wanted something fresh and came up with a new character that might work as main oc in a new project (if it ever materializes). I figured a teenager bear oc who is related to a few other ocs will give me a new perspective. He also has a whole "wildermann" look. Apart from that i started working on A3 papers again and practicing with compositions and color pencils.

Her headwear is based on an 19th century greek bridal headpiece, while her outfit is inspired by christian vestments, that feature animals with byzantine halos instead of religious figures. The animals are holy in this universe and represent various things like Death (vulture), beauty (greek patridge), longetivity (greek tortoise) and resilience (wildgoat). The guys outfit is a mixture of byzantine and 19th century influences and he believes in a fictional christian-adjacent like religion

Lowkey, iam considering the idea of making a short project about them that takes place in the same universe as my grand project
